The Edge Retail Academy assures retailers that privacy, security, and confidentiality of the data will be observed. For purposes of this agreement, Confidential information includes all confidential and/or proprietary information or data The Edge Retail Academy receives from the retailer through The Edge Retail Academy’s software, including but not limited to: point of sale, sales and inventory data that is tracked, recorded, and collected by the Retailer’s point of sale software. Confidential information shall not be deemed proprietary and The Edge Retail Academy shall have no obligation with respect to such information where the information: a) was known to The Edge Retail Academy prior to receiving any information from Retailer; b) has become publicly known through no act of The Edge Retail Academy; c) was received by The Edge Retail Academy without a breach of this Agreement from a third party, without restriction as to the use and disclosure of the information; d) was independently developed by The Edge Retail Academy without the use of the confidential information; or e) was ordered to be disclosed by a court of competent jurisdiction.
For purposes of this agreement, aggregate data refers to information that is: 1) collected from multiple sources and/or multiple measures, variables, or individuals, and 2) compiled into data summaries or summary reports, typically for the purpose of public reporting or statistical analysis, to examine trends, make comparisons or reveal information and insights that would not be observable when data elements are viewed in isolation.
The Edge Retail Academy may receive, and use aggregated and/or anonymized data. The anonymized and aggregated data shall belong to The Edge Retail Academy. The Edge Retail Academy retains the right and use of aggregate data for any purpose. The aggregate data does not include any individually identifiable user data.
The anonymized and aggregated data, of The Edge Retail Academy’s Edge Pulse participants will be used to compile industry trends, benchmarks and fast seller lists, which are accessible to the participants. Note: your Rolex sales are not included in any aggregated reporting other than your individual Edge Pulse.
